Our Team
Juanita "Janie" Jaimez
Janie, a Harlingen native, graduated from Harlingen High School South and earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Texas-Pan American. She graduated from the South Texas College of Law and became a licensed Texas attorney in 2013, gaining additional licensing for Texas districts in 2024.
Janie began her legal career as an assistant district attorney in Cameron County, working in misdemeanor and felony courts and serving as Chief Juvenile Prosecutor for eight years. From 2020 to 2024, she was a Justice of the Peace for Precinct 5 Place 3, overseeing small claims, landlord/tenant disputes, and Class C misdemeanors. In 2021, she established the Law Office of Juanita "Janie" Jaimez, P.L.L.C., collaborating as counsel with the Law Office of Aaron Rendon, P.L.L.C. since 2024.
Janie is a member of the Texas Bar Association and the Cameron County Bar Association, a former president of the Cameron County Women's Law Section, and a past member of the Texas Bar Association's Minority Steering Committee. She is committed to efficiently defending clients through her experience with justice and equality.

Juan Antonio Maya, Jr.
Juan began his education after graduating from San Benito High School in 2008. He excelled in his career with passion and dedication, earning an associate degree in Paralegal Studies from Texas Southmost College in 2020. He developed skills in coordination, communication, and problem-solving while working as a Paralegal at the Law Offices of Ernesto Gamez, Jr., P.C. in 2022. There, he maintained a strong work ethic in court preparation and documentation. Since 2023, Juan has been a Senior Paralegal at the Law Office of Aaron W. Rendon, P.L.L.C., responsible for daily tasks and staff supervision, assisting with essential legal documents. His experience has instilled a commitment to excellent service and the firm’s mission to provide top legal representation in South Texas.

Luis Garduño
Luis, a 2011 Hanna High School graduate from Brownsville, Texas, earned his Police Academy certification from UTB-TSC in 2013. He began his law enforcement career at the TDCJ Connally Maximum Security Unit for a year, then served six years with the Cameron County Constable Precinct 2. He was a Bailiff for the 404th District Court under Judge Ricardo Adobbati for four years. Luis founded Delta Security Solutions, gaining leadership and management skills, and later joined Aaron as an in-house Criminal Investigator, contributing valuable legal intel to the firm.
Luis holds an active Texas Peace Officer license and a Texas Private Security license.

Sally Deleon
Sally, a knowledgeable figure at the firm, began her legal career at 19 as a receptionist. After graduating from Harlingen High School in 2001, she pursued paralegal studies, diving into family, criminal, and consumer law. Despite a brief career pause, she returned with determination. She states, “I love what I do; therefore, I never work,” treating every client with respect and courtesy. Her empathy and expertise enhance her service, contributing to the firm's commitment to excellent customer care for South Texas residents. Sally stands out as a capable asset to Aaron and the team.

Ana Lopez
Immigration Legal Assistant
Having attended Hanna High School (Brownsville, Texas) and living in the communities of border towns, Ana recognizes the importance of immigration law. She has fourteen years of experience in the legal field, having worked for previous firms. Ana is familiar with applications and agencies like the USCIS, being able to guide and service the needs of every client. Further, Ana is anointed as a Notary Public official, serving as an impartial witness during notarizations from 2022 to the present.
Ana has found her place at the firm because Aaron and the team recognize and appreciate her hard work, insight, and ethics, which are the basis for any upstanding immigration legal consultant.
Monica Flores
Monica attended Gladys Porter Early College High School and, like Ana, has formed her career and person to appreciate and have a duty to protect the rights of the locality of South Texas. She further cemented herself in her sphere of expertise by attending the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Monica has over eighteen years of experience in immigration law, primarily providing counsel and legal aid with family reunification and defenses from regional/nationality removal. Her specialty also includes political asylum, adjustment to status, naturalizations, certificates abroad, translations, and cancellations of removal; she has been a Notary Public official since 2008. Indeed, her commitment to the judicial process of law is the foundation for her attentiveness, research, and diverse knowledge and retention skills.

Lauralysa Cordova
Title
Lauralysa Cordova, raised in Brownsville, Texas, graduated from Homer Hanna High School in 2005 and later attended the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has extensive experience in customer service, including 13 years as a Customer Service Manager at Pronto Insurance, where she excelled in providing great care.
Now specializing in personal injury law, Lauralysa ensures clients receive respectful and high-quality service. She also helps manage the financial department, using her organizational skills to keep operations smooth. As a vital member of our firm, her dedication to client satisfaction and diverse contributions make her an invaluable asset.
Zabdi Torres
Every member at Aaron W. Rendon Law Firm P.L.L.C. is valued in their role and what they brings to the office, never to be dismissed or underrecognized. Zabdi is no exception to this principle. She graduated from Rivera Early College High School (2021), which entails her connection in the valley. Furthermore, having transferred from TSC, she is currently enrolled at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley as a junior majoring in Psychology. Though in the process of her academic career, Zabdi aspires for greater heights and goals. Apart from being an avid reader and learner, she aims to achieve her master's in Psychology and be a Therapist. The firm has been a great training chamber for the young but formidable student. Since joining the firm in May of 2024, she has proven herself through her versatility, communication, technological savviness, and attentiveness, all with an amicable attitude.
Zabdi is a breath of fresh air and is valued immensely for her good judgment, nature, and willingness to work for her and the firm’s success.

Cairo Perez
Graduating from South Texas ISD Medical Professions in Olmito, Texas, Cairo is a university student who has shifted his career goals from the medical field to be more law-centric. He works under Attorney Rendon and the law office as a legal intern, shadowing paralegals Juan and Sally. Cairo is more of an observer of Rendon Law, learning the ropes and mechanisms of a firm and becoming acquainted with legal jargon and documentation. He has also helped on various creative projects for the office, such as the very site you are reading! Cairo, like Zabdi, brings a new energy and is well-versed in collaborative work, bringing about a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to achieve all desired results for Rendon Law.

Guillermo Guajardo
At the Aaron W. Rendon Law Firm, U.S. veterans are a top priority, and we are committed to providing exceptional legal support for the RGV’s veteran population and active-duty servicemen.
Leading this initiative is Guillermo Guajardo, a Marine Corps veteran and Brownsville native. With a Sociology degree from University of Texas Brownsville. Guillermo has held significant roles at the Marine Barracks in Washington, D.C. and was assigned to security at the U.S. Naval Academy. He is also a licensed driving instructor, reflecting his dedication to the community.
As the Veterans Legal Support Coordinator, Guillermo focuses on securing benefits like disability compensation and healthcare for veterans, leveraging his firsthand experience to advocate effectively for their needs. The Aaron W. Rendon Law Firm is proud to have Guillermo lead its veterans' legal representation with confidence and compassion.
